Fuel Resistant – Low VOC
Description & Uses
This standard specifies for the requirements for a fuel resistant gloss finishing paint suitable for application by either brush or spray. The air drying paint is suitable for interior and exterior use and may be used with an appropriate priming paint on prepared and/or pre-treated ferrous and wooden substrates. The finish is available in a number of colours mainly from BS 381C – Please specify the colour when placing an order.

Resistance to mineral oil – 96 hours after application
Resistance to liquid fuel – 7 days after application
Resistance to artificial weathering – Using UVA 351 lamps for a period of 8 weeks, 7 days after application
Resistance to continuous salt spray – For a period of 10 days, 7 days after application
Resistance to heat – For a period of 24 hours, 7 days after application
Application Instructions
Surface Preparation: Minimum Degrease; Grit Blast recommended
Pre-Treatment: Can be applied directly to the metal or over suitable primer
Mixing Instructions: Thin as required
Thinner/Reducer Addition: IP80-54-THINNER
Application Method: Brush of Conventional Spray
