Mica Impregnated Insulating Coating
Insulating coating for application to aero engine components. Excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, lubricants, coolants and fuels. The cured coating can be machined to produce accurate dimensions on working surface.
Evaluated by Rolls Royce as having thermal conductivity of 2.2 x 10¯¹ watts / metre / °C in 1972

LR 1580(PL95-R1) has been tested to the following: (tests show a minimum specification and are exceeded by actual performance)
Dry heat resistance at 500ºC (930ºF) | 100 Hours |
Ester Lubricant resistance at 150ºC (300ºF) | 100 Hours |
Skydrol resistance at 70ºC (160ºF) | 3 Hours |
at room temperature | 100 Hours |
Salt water fog resistance | 100 Hours |
Apply with conventional spray. LR 1580(PL95-R1) has been formulated to allow easier build up of film thicknesses to 500 microns plus.
