This has to be in place often before the organization can approve products made by us. We list some old approvals such as Lucas (then TRW ; now Goodrich) and Hawker-Siddeley; (Now BAe / Airbus / Gulfstream); Vickers Armstrong etc, as old drawings often call up defunct companies.
