Weight reduction solution for Aston MartinSpecial coating for Aston Martin DB7 Zagato - The solid aluminium grill originally intended for the car proved to be too heavy and was replaced with a specially designed version made from polyester.
To meet customer expectations this required a paint finish which was indistinguishable from chrome. Plus it had to be tough enough to survive the rigours of being on the front of a car and chemical attack from antifreeze and brake fluid.
The solution was a one of the company's specialised coatings, a low bake 2-pack spraying chrome effect finish.
