| Performance - |
|
Resistant to most aircraft operating chemicals and fluids
eg mineral oil based, diester lubricant. Water and humidity resistant.
|
| Surface Preparation - |
All surfaces should be clean. Oil and grease should be
removed using an approved solvent cleaner eg Def Stan 03-2 (2000 5 0098).
Finishes should be applied to substrates coated with either:
- Two pack etch primer eg IP9064-4853 & 4854
- Two pack epoxy primer eg IP9064-6362 & CAT
|
| Application - |
| Method |
Conventional, airless or
electrostatic airless spray |
| No. of Coats |
One double track or two single coats
allowing a flash off of 30 minutes between coats to achieve dry film
characteristics. |
| Cleaning Solvent |
IP9064/Thin |
|
| Limitations - |
|
Do not apply below 51C or above 75% RH. Pot life reduces
as temperature increases eg at 351C pot life is 4 hours. Finishes prone
to chalking on exposure to sunlight. This does not lead to total degradation
of the film but will reduce gloss level.
