Product Description -


Chemically cured, high grade, two pack (cold curing) strontium chromate epoxy primer with exceptional adhesion to correctly prepared substrates, includes magnesium. Developed specifically for protection of aircraft both externally and internally. It has excellent leaching properties and a superior level of protection against all forms of corrosion, including filiform corrosion. Resistance to organic solvents and aircraft operating fluids.

Principally used as the primer for our IP2 range of 2 Part epoxy products but can be used with other polyurethane, epoxy and acrylic finishing schemes. Alternative to PR205 system.

Performance -


This material meets the requirements of BS2X 33, type A & B 1998 issue which includes 1 mm cross hatch adhesion, water resistance, scratch resistance, flexibility (BS3900 Part E4) and resistance to Tri-n-Butyl Phospate

 

Application -


All materials should be at shop temperature before use. Ensure base primer is completely uniformly mixed before adding the catalyst. Apply by conventional or airless spray. Prior to application the substrate should be thoroughly clean and pretreated , eg, anodise or Alocrom. If chemical pretreatment cannot be used, use, for example, IP9064/4853/4854, etch primer. The primer, once mixed can be used immediately, and should not be used more than 2 hours after mixing. Always re-stir mixed material after standing.
