Product Description -

A few PL products are dual sourced, but there are many instances where Indestructible Paint company's technical development has provided improved alternatives. IP9029 is one example. As a replacement for PL101, a higher heat resistant stoving enamel than PL101, and IP9139, with heat resistance increased from 500 to 650ºC, it also has superior thick film forming properties at up to 6 thou (150 microns).

IP9029 and IP9029R1 are interchangeable, the source of aluminium being the only difference. 

It has been warmly welcomed in America as being superior to the US spec TT-P-28 for corrosion resistance and resistance to Skydrol and gear fluid.

Performance -


This material significantly exceeds the performance test for MSRR 9029, Textron, and TT-P-28 tests on steel include:

  • 100 Hours at 650ºC (1200ºF) dry heat
  • 100 Hours at 150ºC (300ºF) in Ester lubricants
  • 3 Hours at 70ºC (160ºF) in Skydrol
  • 100 Hours continuous salt spray
  • 10 Cycles 220ºC (430ºF) 4 hours - 20 hours salt spray cabinet BSTM.B117
Application -


Spray application, wet on wet coats to give film weight of 52-85g per square metre. Stove after 30 minutes flash off for 2 hours at 185-195ºC (365-385ºF). Apply for RPS 661/15 for full process spec.
