Product Description -


Insulating coating for application to aero engine components. Excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, lubricants, coolants and fuels. The cured coating can be machined to produce accurate dimensions on working surface.

Performance -


PL95 has been tested to the following: (tests show a minimum specification and are exceeded by actual performance)

  • Dry heat resistance at 5001C (9301F) 100 Hours
  • Ester Lubricant resistance at 1501C (3001F) 100 Hours
  • Skydrol resistance at 701C (1601F) 3 Hours
  • at room temperature 100 Hours
  • Salt water fog resistance 100 Hours
Application -


Apply with conventional spray using the following technique:

Apply one coat and allow to stand for 3 minutes

Apply second coat and either: 

a) Air dry for 30 minutes

b) Stove at 65 - 751C (150-1751F) for 20 minutes

Apply further wet on wet coatings with subsequent air drying or stoving until the required thickness is obtained - usually 3 applications.

Finally stove as follows:

(a) If air drying between coats has been used. 30 minutes at 145 - 1551C (295-3101F), followed by 2 hours at 185 - 1951C (365-3851F)

(b) If stoving has been used between coats, 2 hours at 185 - 1951C (365-3851F) after 30 minutes flash off
