Product Description -


Green ceramic blade coating for aero engines and compressors to operate at temperatures up to 850°C (1560°F). Also used on internal combustion liners. Used for example as the RB211.L.P:1 compressor blade for sulphidation protection.

Performance -


In addition to resisting a wide range of aviation fluids, abrasion and wear, it also has a resistance to thermal shock which is shown by the following test:

The panel is removed from the oven at 1030°C (1885°F) and immediately immersed into cold water, film detachment will be less than 5%. 100 hours at 850°C (1560°F).

 

Application -


Material is liable to severe settlement and should be well stirred prior to use.
All surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and then dry blasted. Apply by spray, flash off for 30 minutes, transfer to oven at 100°C (210°F) for 1 hour then to a furnace at 1030°C (1885°F) for 20 minutes.

Typical film thickness 0.03 - 0.05 mm (90 - 150 grams per square metre).
