Surface Preparation -


Ensure surfaces are clean and free from dust, dirt etc.
Usually used as over-lacquers over 1 pack solid, metallic or flip tone base coats, solvent or water based. Also used to over-lacquer Cubic Printing.
Can be applied directly to correct colour ABS or ABS/PC.

 
Application -


Apply by conventional or HVLP Spray.

Usually applied by robot.

For hand spray application it is recommended that gloves; goggles and air fed breathing masks are used.

Both lacquers are supplied ready for use ; viscosity can be adjusted as necessary with up to 5% 40009 thinners.

Viscosity can also be adjusted by hot spraying at 40-60oC.

 
Drying / Curing Schedule -


Flow Time: It is usual to allow minimum 40 seconds flow / levelling time
Cure: High Intensity Mercury UV Lamps rated at 80-150watts/cm Exposure time: 2-5 seconds.

Clean Up-


Thinners 40009 or Gunwash 40006

 
Storage -


Shelf life: 12 months

Highly flammable liquid: Store and use in accordance with the flammable liquid regulations.
