Applied over suitable white primer, depending upon substrate.

Product Description:

A two or three coat system for application to components requiring a high visibility easily identified coating.

Performance:

A system of one component acrylic fluorescent colour, plus 2 component urethane gloss clear glazecoat. Applied over the relevant primer, dependent upon substrate, typically 2 component epoxy on metals, 1 component acrylic on plastics. Used in variety of applications but typically on emergency cockpit handles etc.

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean. Apply correct quality primer dependent upon substrate to a thoroughly prepared substrate: refer to the primer technical data sheet for full instructions.

Aluminium / steel / composites: IP3-53003 2 pack epoxy primer white
Thermoplastics: IP33-33033 1 pack acrylic primer white

Application:

IP33-1952 Colour Coat: Mix 1 part base to 1 part thinner “Acri-Thin”

IP37-Clear Glaze Coat: Mix 5 parts base to 2 parts IP37-CAT activator; thin with 1-2 parts 665-550-025 thinner

Apply by spray; conventional; HVLP or compliant

Drying / Curing:

The system can be air dried or force cured.

For the primer coat, refer to technical data sheet for the relevant product.

IP33-1952: air dry for 45-60 minutes; force cure: 20 mins @ 50°C
IP37-Clear: air dry 16-24 hours; force cure: 40 minutes @ 60-70°C
