PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Low chrome Khaki Ipseal IP9185 is an inorganic protective coating used as a barrier on low chrome Ipcote IP9182, also contains no glycol ethers.

It closely resembles Khaki Ipseal IP9184 R1 ; Sermaseal 1318 and 570.

IP9185 Khaki Ipseal seals porosity of IP9182 without detracting from it’s sacrificial properties. It also creates an electrically non-conductive barrier coat. The use of Ipseal results in a smoother, harder coating which provides a barrier against carbon deposits, etc extending the useful life of the base coat and a smoother finish which enhances airflow characteristics, and therefore engine efficiency. For use at temperatures up to 800°C (1400°F). This material also has capabilities as a coating in its own right, being water based with no VOC's, this coating has high temperature resistance up to 800°C on such metals as nickel.

Smooth eggshell finish in Khaki

Typical Film thickness 4 - 6 microns per coat (0.2 thou)

Operating temperature -40 to + 800°C, (1420°F)

Less than 1.0 % chrome Significantly increases resistance of Ipcote products, IP 9182; IP9183, IP9253 etc to corrosion resistance

APPLICATION: Easy to apply water based type product.

Significantly easier to apply than competitive products. Apply to RPS 661/
