The Rockhard range has been updated, improved and extended considerably since its first major applications as long ago as the 1950s when it was used on the original SRN1 hovercraft and the Westland Wessex helicopter, where it protected the thin magnesium skins used on the latter. The SRN1 and the Wessex both served in a very corrosive marine environment.
