Product Description -


Rockhard stoving enamels are one of the best protective coatings for metals, including Aluminium, Magnesium, Steel and Titanium and as such it is recommended by Magnesium Electron, the leading suppliers of Magnesium in the UK. Used where maximum protection is needed against marine and other harsh environments.

Specifically formulated to give optimum product performance the grey is to BS 381c shade 693 and is low odour high flash and released to MSRR9226.

The green and white have been formulated specially for Rolls Royce Canada and are for use in such areas as engine support frame products and airframe components for companies like Grumman. Black gloss is for use also by RR Canada on such as the Nene engine, although not released to MSRR9226, they are tested to and comply with it.

The white has recently been tested as having more than 3KVa resistance at a film thickness of less than a thousand.

Performance -


Tested to DTD 5562 and MSRR 9226, which includes: 6 months intermittent salt spray (DEF1053 method 36), resistance to humidity, Trichloroethylene and re-chromating.
Testing:

  • 100 hours dry heat at 220°C
  • 10 cycles heat 220°C (430°F) for 4 hours then 20 hours salt water fog
  • Skydrol 70°C 3 hours

Many different application specifications have been drawn up by users and advice is available from our technical department for various methods including dip and spray.
